The manual handling training course is intended to provide students with an understanding of how to safely handle loads. It covers practical aspects of lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing and pulling loads. It also provides information on the human spinal system, risk assessment, the legal responsibility of employers to their employees and techniques for the prevention of accidents. The manual handling course involves knowledge development, and a series of practical exercises, followed by scenarios that allow the students to put their skills into practise.

Vehicle Banksman

Banksmen are used to co-ordinate manoeuvres that require accurate positioning and accessing of vehicles and/or workplace transport. They help oversee operations that have the potential to cause damage or injuries if not performed properly. Banksman training provides staff that have to supervise or assist in the moving, loading and/or unloading of vehicles with the relevant skills and knowledge to reduce the risk of accidents.
